JOB SUMMARY Contribute to the development/transfer, optimization, and documentation of the overall process flow and macro modules required to fabricate reliable, manufacturable BCD (BiPolar-CMOS-DMOS), Discrete, MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems), and wide bandgap devices which meet parametric and performance goals. Support development efforts by working closely with offsite and senior development engineers and fab operations. This entry-level position offers the opportunity for development within Polar. Polar also offers a tuition aid program in which employees can be reimbursed for courses that support their career growth and benefit Polar. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Support remote engineers with communication, lot movement, DOE design, data analysis and any other activities that help expedite project and task completion. 2. Work with Process Engineering to execute DOE, wafer inspections, and metrology. 3. Analyze data (electrical, in-process measurement or visual inspection) from the fabrication of test lots to determine which parameters require additional optimization. 4. Support the processing of the initial test chip and transfer lots fabricated with the new process to identify and correct any problem areas and work to achieve first-pass success. 5. Write the documentation required to permit the new process to be transferred to production. 6. Support company initiatives, such as; quality, safety and environmental management, CQI, 5S, yield management, and cost containment 7. Perform other duties as required. 8. Open to working split shift or night shift. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: - Knowledge of several of the following, as needed to perform exact duties: o Knowledge of semiconductor device physics o Semiconductor fabrication processes o Electrical testing o Device layout design - Strong computer and communication skills are a must. - Skills in problem solving, DOE design, and statistical data analysis are preferred. Typically requires a minimum of Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Physics. Please note that this position may require U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status in the future depending on federal requirements
