About the role

You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the COMMANDER NAVY INSTALLATION COMMAND of NAVAL STATION. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing and coordinating administrative functions for a department; 2) Evaluating organization-wide administrative processes to increase efficiency, productivity and workflow automation; 3) Reviewing official for documents IAW Navy and DOD correspondence rules for accuracy and quality; 4) Drafting and updating local standard operating procedures (SOPs), administrative instructions, or policy memoranda; 5) Managing civilian and/or military personnel actions and manpower data; 6) Advising higher level management officials. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
