They will be assisting with instruction of veterinary students in technical skills related to the practice of veterinary medicine primarily within the surgical skills curriculum. They will assist with the coordination of other educational activities that may or may not be a component of the Clinical & Surgical Skills program. Associate Clinical Specialist 3 60% Perform technical responsibilities within the Surgical Training Center including, but not limited to - - Organizing and ordering supplies for surgical training - Assist with instructional labs related to surgical training (including setup and breakdown) - Assist with cadaver and model management for teaching purposes - Assist in oversight and assignment of student worker activities - Assist with intake and discharge of dogs and cats utilized in spay/neuter labs 15% Assist with the scheduling and coordination of supplies (cadaveric, model, reusable/disposable materials), set up/breakdown of materials, and general assistance during 5010 electives and other educational activities (which may or may not be within Clinical & Surgical Skills programs). 10% Assist with setup, breakdown, and execution of OSCEs within the Clinical & Surgical Skills program. 10% Perform additional supportive tasks related to the Clinical & Surgical skills program including, but not limited to: - Assist with outreach efforts to promote the Surgical Training Center and Clinical/Surgical Skills programs - Assist with research projects related to the Clinical/Surgical Skills programs and/or education - Assist with development of new models and maintenance of current models used in the Clinical/Surgical Skills program 5% Other duties as assigned
