Description of Work The Health Care Technician position provides direct patient care by managing the milieu on the unit through close observation and interaction with the patients. This position fosters a therapeutic environment and assist in the activities of daily living. They provide support to the patients working toward the goals and objectives of their treatment and monitor medical, emotional, behavioral, and social problems. The Health Care Technician is responsible for transporting patients to appointments outside the medical facility. Shift Premiums for 12-Hour Shifts: Day (6:45am - 7:15pm) *Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate. About the Facility: The Walter B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: (1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The primary purpose and mission of the Walter B. Jones Center is "To provide inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization and medical detoxification for individuals with mental health, substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses for ongoing community based treatment and recovery". The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and /. Two specialty programs are offered to all 100 NC Counties: (1) Inpatient Treatment for adults and (2) Inpatient Services for women in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters with substance use disorders.
