Job Description: We are in search of a Value Stream Leader with 5 plus years' leadership experience in a production setting. As an instrumental member of our Leadership Team, the Value Stream Leader is expected to work collaboratively with other leadership, operations, functional areas, and employees to promote a productive and amicable work environment, while still efficiently meeting the business needs. The Value Stream Leader will be hands on and will spend the majority of their time on the factory floor. This position is responsible for the oversight, management and leadership of all aspects of the assigned department or line. The individual must also be able to adhere to and promote the Company's core values of Integrity, Respect, Innovation and Teamwork. Tasks: Manage day-to-day operations to meet production schedule Support, coach, and train team leaders in their efforts to observe and facilitate standard work Edit and approve time for employees in their group using Workday. Schedule mixed-model production to meet the needs of our customers based on collaboration with VSM, sales and marketing. Work with team leaders and techs to ensure the quality of manufactured components meets specifications Provide regular feedback to associates in their group including daily coaching, 30-60-85 day reviews, and semi-annual bell curve reviews Manage CCCA meetings. Identify concerns and drive root cause-corrective actions for any issues that affect safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. Maintain cell board metrics including attendance, qualifications, and other applicable business unit metrics (safety, quality, delivery, cost, etc.,) and drive improvements to those metrics. Identify areas of weakness in production process and work with engineering to address those concerns Fairly and equally enforce company and department policies, as well as safety rules and guidelines set forth by VSM, Human Resources, and EHS department. This includes verbal coaching, initiating corrective action discussions, and creating/following through on specific performance improvement plans Continuously look for potentially hazardous conditions and foster an environment where associates become involved in becoming proactive safety a priority in the workplace Track and manage serial numbers in Oracle to ensure ATF compliance Lead kaizen activities - encourage associates to identify waste and take action to improve their immediate areas Work with dedicated buyer/planner, maintenance, engineering, toolmaking, and customer service departments to support the successful operation of their business unit. Take an active role to identify educational or training opportunities for associates in their area to improve job skills Become familiar with all phases of plant operations, including (but not limited to): CNC operations, manual machining, grinding, polishing, deburring, bluing, inspection, assembly, and testing Other duties as assigned by VSM
