About the role

Employee will serve as a Business Manager, Chief Health Administration Service (HAS) located at the Veterans Healthcare System in Sioux Falls, SD. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Requires one full year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: providing leadership, oversight, guidance, and program management to the business operations of a medical center; overseeing processes in hiring, disciplining and monitoring performance of staff; identifying requirements for funding, staffing, space, privacy and technology to support the programs and delivery of services; handling and resolving conflict and problems that occur; and directing the utilization of financial and staff resources.
