Responsibilities
- Oversee the full procurement cycle, including supplier sourcing, RFQ management, price negotiation, purchase order processing, and delivery follow-up.
- Purchase materials, components, and equipment based on MRP requirements to support production operations.
- Expedite supplier deliveries and resolve supply issues to ensure uninterrupted production schedules.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Production, and other internal stakeholders to achieve on-time customer deliveries.
- Manage inventory levels and execute inventory control policies in line with company stocking strategies.
- Coordinate import/export shipments with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance in cost, quality, delivery, and service.
- Maintain procurement documentation, including vendor creation, purchasing records, and reconciliation of Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Notes (DN), and invoices.
- Handle supplier returns, including Return Material Authorizations (RMA) and non-conforming materials.
- Identify and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
- Review Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accurate sourcing and material planning.
- Prepare procurement reports, inventory updates, and KPI reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Prioritize purchasing activities to support changing business and operational needs.
- Perform any other duties or projects assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer within a contract manufacturing or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in equipment engineering, process improvement, or manufacturing engineering is highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, headquarters, factories, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work with a strong focus on accuracy.
