Our team is looking for a Supply Chain Director to join them. This role reports to the Site General Manager and dotted line functionally to the Global VP Supply Chain and will have an onsite work structure in Chatsworth, CA . The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for executing the company's end-to-end Global Supply Chain strategy to ensure the timely availability of materials, fabricated components and services required to support customer commitments, operational objectives, and financial performance. This role is responsible for operations procurement, supplier management, production planning and scheduling, inventory and SIOP. The Director will drive supplier performance, mitigate supply chain risks, optimize working capital and ensure compliance with all applicable contractual, regulatory and quality requirements. The position will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Quality and Finance to support growth, profitability and operational excellence. To be considered for the Supply Chain Director opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum 10-15 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience. Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role managing procurement, planning, sourcing, and supplier management teams. Direct experience in aerospace, defense, military electronics, avionics, space, complex industrial manufacturing, or similarly regulated high-reliability industries. Demonstrated experience managing high-mix manufacturing environments with significant fabrication content and complex supplier networks. Experience managing long lead-time materials, supplier constraints, and component obsolescence challenges. Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, ITAR, EAR, AS9100, and government contracting requirements. Proven success leading SIOP processes and inventory optimization initiatives. Strong supplier negotiation, contracting, and relationship management skills. CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent professional certification is preferred. Experience supporting DoD, aerospace OEM, prime contractor, or Tier 1 supplier environments preferred. Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Costpoint, or similar platforms is preferred. Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience is a plus. As a Supply Chain Director, you will: Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives, customer commitments, and growth plans. Lead, mentor, and develop Supply Chain personnel, including Procurement, Planning, Strategic Sourcing, and Supplier Management teams. Establish supply chain metrics, performance objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on delivery, quality, cost, inventory, and supplier performance. Build organizational capability to support increasingly complex aerospace and defense programs. Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Direct sourcing and procurement activities for raw materials, fabricated components, assemblies, electronics, and indirect goods and services. Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, lead time, capacity, and risk considerations. Negotiate long-term agreements, pricing arrangements, and strategic partnerships with key suppliers. Lead supplier consolidation and rationalization efforts where appropriate while maintaining supply continuity and competitive leverage. Ensure effective management of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier commitments. Supplier Management & Risk Mitigation Establish and maintain strategic relationships with critical suppliers and subcontractors. Conduct supplier assessments, audits, capacity reviews, and readiness evaluations to ensure suppliers can support current and future demand. Lead supplier performance management processes including scorecards, corrective actions, recovery plans, and executive reviews. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks associated with sole-source suppliers, constrained materials, geopolitical factors, capacity limitations, and quality issues. Develop and maintain business continuity and supply assurance strategies for critical commodities and programs.
