What You Will Experience in this position: Operate machinery, hand tools, and pneumatic tools involved in highly repetitive and routine functions such as riveting, drilling, gluing, and assembling. Operate forklift equipment to pull materials Install hardware, perform quality inspection/checks, package finished goods for shipping. Work in a repetitive, fast paced environment and participate in teams to improve processes. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition Support the production process by filling in positions on the line when necessary to maintain the flow of work when absences occur (Vacation, PTO, Restroom breaks, etc.). Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout department through the deployment of the Lean methodology. Execute and coordinate employee cross training to ensure to achieve optimal team functionality. Coordinate the timely and accurate movement of material into, within and out of assigned work area as needed. Drive a continuous improvement culture by involving employees in problem solving and decision making as well as recognizing them for exceptional work. May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
