This Role: The Head of AI and Enterprise Architecture is a leadership role responsible for defining and executing the organization's AI strategy and enterprise technology architecture to enable scalable, secure, and value-driven digital transformation. This role bridges business strategy, emerging AI capabilities, and core enterprise platforms, ensuring that innovation is aligned with architectural standards, governance, and long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate combines deep technical credibility with strong business acumen and executive influence. This role reports directly to the : SVP, Technology, Services & Innovation.
Responsibilities
- AI Strategy & Enablement
- Define and lead the enterprise AI strategy, including use-case identification, prioritization, and value realization across business functions.
- Oversee the design, adoption, and scaling of AI solutions, including generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, and analytics platforms.
- Establish AI governance frameworks covering ethics, risk, security, privacy, model lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into practical, high-impact AI initiatives.
- Track and report on AI value delivery, adoption, and business outcomes.
- Enterprise Architecture Leadership
- Own the enterprise architecture vision, principles, and roadmaps across business, application, data, integration, and infrastructure domains.
- Ensure architectural alignment with business strategy and modernization initiatives.
- Lead architecture reviews to ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective.
- Drive simplification, technical debt reduction, and platform rationalization across the technology landscape.
- Establish and maintain architecture standards, reference architectures, and decision frameworks.
- Technology & Platform Strategy
- Guide cloud, data, integration, and platform strategies to support AI-driven and digital-first capabilities.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, applications, and infrastructure leaders to ensure secure-by-design architectures.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors, making recommendations aligned to enterprise strategy and ROI.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead and mentor team of data and AI specialists.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing clear guidance on technology trade-offs and investment decisions.
- Build strong partnerships with business teams to ensure alignment and execution.
- Represent the organization externally with vendors, partners, and industry forums as needed.
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or digital transformation, with senior leadership responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience leading AI initiatives at enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of:
- o Enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF or equivalent)
- o Cloud platforms and modern application architectures
- o Data platforms, integration patterns, and APIs
- o AI/ML and generative AI concepts, risks, and operational considerations
- Proven ability to align technology strategy with business outcomes and financial value.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Preferred
- Experience operating in technology solutions provider environments.
- Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI practices, and emerging regulations.
- Background in consulting, architecture leadership, or large-scale transformation programs.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud certifications, AI/ML credentials).
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification preferred.
- Cloud and AI certifications are a strong asset.
