About the role
Job Description: Responsible for the maintenance of all control systems under the direction of the I&C Supervisor, acting proactively and maintaining a high standard of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, so that they are carried out technically efficiently, in compliance with schedules, MODEC procedures, maintenance philosophy, national and international regulations and standards, ensuring that all control systems are operational and preserved for the assigned unit. Carry out or supervise 3rd party employees in all maintenance and inspection related to the Control Systems discipline, to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery in the unit, as well as emergency equipment, thus contributing to the production and revenue target achievement, as well as safeguarding MODEC from noncompliance to legal/regulatory requirements by following or ensuring 3rd parties onboard follow MODEC's procedures, internal and external regulations, national and international standards supporting audits and inspections in the unit, and implementing action plans, when required. Contribute to the continuous improvement of MOG fleet performance by participating, when requested, to RCAs, investigations of NOIs/NODs, HAZID/HAZOPs, following up CAPAs, sharing lessons learned. Ensure Work Orders are duly closed and detailed information is filled out in CMMS, following the appropriate templates, after the completion of every control system work onboard, by updating the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), constantly giving feedback to the I&C Supervisor. This includes the maintenance of all network systems, radio communications, Addressable Fire Detectable Systems (AFDS), Public Address and General Alarm (PAGA) and Navigation Aids, in accordance with MODEC procedures. Contribute with the perfect functioning of the control systems, reporting deficiencies and malfunctioning, discussing, and analyzing technical and spares issues with the I&C Supervisor as well as proposing solutions for the weak points using the technical knowledge and experience to elaborate technical reports whenever requested by I&C Supervisor and/or Onshore technical support teams. Contribute so that designated onshore department may properly act as Functional Managers of Control Systems discipline for that unit, by ensuring the adherence of the scope to technical standards, guidelines and recommendations set by Technical Support department. Additionally, contribute to the continuity of operations offshore, by providing support to onshore IT department when intervention cannot be done remotely. Monitor DCS/FCS and other system installed on FPSO ensuring that all related systems are operating correctly, and all required data are registered. This includes to control and manage system backups (e.g., DCS, PLC, Data Servers, etc.) in the facility as per MODEC standard, reviewing time to time the data base and inform the I&C Supervisor about the status on regular basis, as well as ensuring that all changes are captured in the Control Narrative Document, monitoring, and recording all changes in the systems of the facility when the changes are approved through Management of Change procedure. Qualifications & Experience: Engineer register approved and validated is a competitive advantage Overall experience is expected; Previous experience in Offshore Oil & Gas area is a competitive edge Intermediate Office Package knowledge is required. Basic CMMS knowledge (SAP preferred) is expected
