Responsibilities

  • Software Security Group (SSG) Leadership
  • Lead and evolve a team of experienced security engineers focused on product security and vulnerability management

  • Own and accelerate the migration from legacy AngularJS‐based UI to modern Angular‐based dashboards
  • Drive platform improvements focused on performance, reliability, usability, and UI load times
  • Establish and maintain scalable, reusable UI frameworks for multiple product teams
  • Champion an AI Agent‐first engineering approach, using agents to assist in:
  • UI migration
  • Development and refactoring
  • Framework evolution and testing
  • Partner with product management and stakeholders to align UI platform strategy with business goals
  • Cross‐Functional Leadership

Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on Technical Engineering Manager to lead two critical engineering initiatives within the SolarWinds Observability Self‐Hosted product: Software Security Group (SSG) UI Platform Engineering This role is ideal for a former or hands-on software engineer with strong technical background (leadership experience is a benefit), and a passion for agentic development, AI‐assisted SDLC, and modern engineering practices. You will partner closely with product teams, engineering leadership, and security leadership (including the CISO) to advance our product security posture and accelerate UI modernisation.
