Store Assistant (1-year contract)

About the role

We're a board game shop looking for a friendly and reliable Store Assistant to help run our day-to-day operations. You'll be the first person customers meet when they walk in, helping them find the right game and making sure they always leave happy. No experience needed. If you're a people-person who enjoys a fun, relaxed environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve walk-in customers warmly and attentively
• Help customers pick suitable games based on their preferences and group size
• Maintain shop cleanliness and ensure shelves and games are well-stocked and organised
• Pack and prepare online orders for delivery or collection
• Assist customers during game sessions and answer any questions they have

• Are friendly, approachable, and enjoy talking to people
• Are responsible and able to work independently without supervision
• Are comfortable working evenings and weekends
• Have a genuine interest in board games (a bonus, not a must)
• Are punctual and reliable - the shop counts on you to show up
• Working Hours
• Thursday & Friday: 3pm - 11pm
• Saturday & Sunday / Public Holidays: 12pm - 11pm
• Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off.
