Student Trainee (financial Management)

About the role

You will serve as a Student Trainee (Financial Management) at the GG-07 grade level receiving on-the-job training and performing basic and routine tasks supporting accounting, auditing, budgeting, or financial management functions. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for the GG-07, you must meet the following required education level: Completion of 1 academic year of graduate level education, or do you have a bachelor's degree or have completed 5 academic years of pre-professional study. All educational requirements for this position must be met by June 30, 2027. Program Completion and Conversion: Interns may be converted at the discretion of the agency to a permanent position (or, in some limited circumstances, to a term position lasting 1-5 years) within 120 days of successful completion of the program. To be eligible for conversion, Interns must: - Be a U.S. Citizen - Complete at least 160-320 hours of work experience acquired through the Student Internship Program - Complete their degree requirements - Meet the qualification standards for the position to which the Intern will be converted - Perform their job successfully NOTE: Students who convert to a permanent position may be eligible for a Recruitment/Relocation or Student Loan Repayment Incentive as the discretion of the agency.
