Retail Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Retail Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our minimart in Jurong. You will ensure smooth store operations, excellent customer service, proper inventory management and efficient staff supervision while maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Store Operations
• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the minimart and ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure shelves are well-stocked, products are properly displayed and pricing is accurate.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the store.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with suppliers.
• Staff Supervision
• Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance, punctuality, and performance.
• Train new employees on store procedures, customer service standards and product knowledge.
• Delegate duties and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Address staff concerns and provide operational support when needed.
• Customer Service
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers with product enquiries.
• Resolve customer complaints and service issues professionally.
• Build positive relationships with regular customers.
• Ensure customers enjoy a pleasant shopping experience.
• Inventory & Stock Control
• Conduct regular stock counts and inventory checks.
• Monitor product expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
• Report low stock, damaged goods and fast-moving items to management.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and organising deliveries from suppliers.
• Cash Handling & Administration
• Perform sales cash reconciliation and report discrepancies.
• Assist with sales reporting and store documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Merchandising & Promotions
• Implement promotional displays and seasonal campaigns.
• Ensure attractive presentation of groceries, snacks, beverages, frozen foods, pooja items, flowers, and household products.
