About the role
Assists in the preparation of the company's consolidated federal income tax compliance process and state income/franchise tax compliance processes. Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual US GAAP tax provisions. Assists with federal and state income tax audits, and quarterly estimated payments and extensions. Researches and analyzes tax issues and developments affecting the company. The anticipated salary range for this position is up to $85k. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. Core Responsibilities Responsible for assisting with preparation of the company's consolidated corporate federal income tax , including U.S. international, and state income/franchise tax compliance functions. Responsible for preparing estimated and extension income tax payment calculations and the timely filing of the related forms, vouchers, and electronic funds transfers. Assists in the compilation of research and analysis related to complex tax issues reflected on the company's federal and state income tax returns (tax accounting issues, nexus issues, unitary/combined filing issues, etc.) Responsible for preparation of the accounting for income/franchise taxes, including tax provision preparation and tax account analysis and reconciliation for U.S. federal & state, and outside-of-U.S. corporate income taxes. Participates in other related tax projects as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience Bachelor's degree in related field (Accounting, Tax, etc.); Master's Degree preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred 2 or more years of corporate income tax or public accounting experience, preferably with a publicly traded company or national/regional firm OneSource software experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong tax/accounting technical background Broad, in-depth technical tax knowledge Ability to discern errors within highly complex or detailed work Skills with MS Excel and Word required; advanced Excel skills preferred Strong ability and experience managing and performing multiple concurrent tasks Demonstrated understanding of financial processes and systems Ability to plan work for self and coordinate with others to meet multiple deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
