Additional Information

Ever wondered what powers the content experiences seen by hundreds of millions of Prime members across every Amazon marketplace on the planet? Prime Customer Experience Engineering (CXE) provides the governance and technical backbone for the development lifecycle of every Prime experience, spanning the CX layer and the wiring that connects it to the data sources behind it. We own the core framework for building and maintaining Prime CX widgets and the content experimentation systems for every Prime experience. Together, these systems power Prime CXs across functions like acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention, across channels including .com, email, notification, text, and WhatsApp - ensuring Prime-owned CXs, which drive roughly 70% of Prime member growth, scale consistently and reliably. Within CXE, the CX Authoring team owns the content infrastructure layer - the self-service platforms, tools, and frameworks that enable teams across Prime to create, configure, localize, and deploy customer experiences at global scale without deep engineering expertise. We're building an AI-native framework that is fundamentally reimagining how Amazon creates customer experiences. Our vision is bold: compress CX development from weeks of manual effort down to hours of AI-assisted generation with human-in-the-loop validation - pioneering design-to-code GenAI workflows, automated content generation, intelligent compliance checking, and multi-agent orchestration. Our north star? Anyone can create world-class Prime experiences without writing code, AI handles localization and optimization automatically, and launch timelines collapse from weeks to days - across all Prime marketplaces worldwide. Key job responsibilities As an Front-End Engineer on the CX Authoring team, you will: - Deliver features and improvements to major portions of the codebase, working closely with stakeholders and peers to understand customer problems and ensure you build the right front-end solutions - Tackle difficult problems with visible risks, bringing clarity and identifying simple front-end solutions while understanding customer impact - Design software solutions to enable new features or improve existing ones, aligning with your team's long-term architectural strategy - Demonstrate operational excellence in all of your work, actively participating in operational support and ensuring root causes of issues are identified and resolved - Earn trust with design, product, and engineering partners, demonstrating empathy, candor, and backbone through all levels of communication A day in the life - Designing and implementing innovative Prime related features and experiences that delight customers - Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to turn concepts into high-quality, scalable code - Working across the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, UX review, code implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance - Utilizing common UI design patterns to decrease friction between the customer and software - Balancing speed of execution with architectural requirements and user experience considerations - Utilizing the team's prototyping and experimentation tools to rapidly validate ideas and gather customer feedback - Continuously learning and expanding your skills to keep pace with evolving technologies and customer needs
