What You Will Achieve The Global Material Management (GMM) Technician position is responsible for supporting all activities within the Groton Pharmaceutical Sciences Drug Product Supply Global Material Management Group. Seeking a material handler to support Groton GMM's, GMP space, and associated daily activities. As a member of the GMM team the candidate will be required to learn a wide variety of support activities and functions while supporting development and clinical materials. This role will be required to follow GMP standards, and for assuring compliance with Pfizer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies along with all applicable worldwide regulations and guidelines (e.g. FDA, DEA, TSA, MHRA). How You Will Achieve It Receive, sample, dispense, ship, manage and maintain all material types (e.g., API's, Excipients, Raw Materials, Drug Substance, Controlled Substance and Hazardous Materials) to support development and clinical activities. Strict adherence to quality, GMP, safety and environmental standards is required. Responsible for identifying, reporting and supporting the resolution of quality concerns. Becoming proficient working within multiple approved electronic inventory systems. Performing electronic and physical inventory transactions for all materials. Perform GMP warehouse infrastructure duties to include; warehouse management, cycle counts, stock rotation, transferring, picking, cleaning, destruction/waste management, segregation of materials, etc. Subdividing and sampling of all material types, to include hazardous materials. Follow and understand applicable SOPs/procedures in relation to activities being complete. Demonstrates sound understanding and advanced knowledge of practices/concepts of GMM and a working knowledge of principles, practices, concepts and operations within other partner disciplines. Must be adaptable and maintain flexibility in completing daily tasks in a dynamic work environment. Proven ability to multitask, manage time and workload. Ability to escalate issues immediately. Maintain excellent customer service and assure on time delivery. Display and influence appropriate behaviors and adhere to Pfizer standards and values.
