You will own the full employee lifecycle in India, manage office administration and vendor relationships, ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, and create a workplace culture that reflects Coram's values. This role is ideal for someone who is resourceful, hands-on, and thrives in ambiguity-someone who can set up processes where none exist and keep a growing office running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • People Operations & Employee Relations:
  • Own the full employee lifecycle in India: onboarding, documentation, performance support, offboarding.
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for India-based employees, handling day-to-day people queries and employee relations matters.
  • Partner with US HR leadership to ensure consistency in company policies while adapting for Indian labor law and local norms.
  • Manage performance review cycles, support managers with coaching and documentation, and handle PIPs and exits professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian employment laws including Shops & Establishment Act, PF, ESI, gratuity, and other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and manage HRIS data for the India team.
  • Office Administration & Operations:
  • Manage all aspects of India office operations: facilities, supplies, vendors, maintenance, and workplace experience.
  • Own vendor relationships (cleaning, security, internet, catering, equipment) and negotiate contracts.
  • Coordinate office logistics for events, team gatherings, and visiting US-based team members.
  • Manage office budgets and track expenses, partnering with Finance on cost reporting.
  • Handle asset management: laptops, equipment procurement, inventory tracking.
  • Ensure the office is a productive, well-maintained, and welcoming environment.
  • Compliance & Payroll Coordination:
  • Partner with our payroll provider/PEO to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Own statutory compliance: PF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity, labor welfare fund, and related filings.
  • Manage benefits administration including health insurance, leave policies, and any India-specific perks-
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on employment contracts, NDAs, and any labor-related matters.
  • Support audit and compliance requirements as the India team scales.
  • Culture & Engagement:
  • Champion Coram's culture in the India office -- bridge the US and India teams so it feels like one company.
  • Plan and execute engagement initiatives: team events, celebrations, wellness programs.
  • Own internal communications for the India office in partnership with US leadership.
  • Support recruiting coordination for India roles, including interview scheduling, offer letters, and candidate experience.

  • Hands-on experience managing office administration and vendor operations.
  • Experience with employee relations, performance management, and end-to-end employee lifecycle.
  • Comfortable working across time zones with US-based leadership (some overlap with US Pacific hours expected)
