AECOM is actively seeking a talented Lead Pipeline CAD - Mapping Designer for immediate employment in one of our AECOM offices (Baton Rouge, LA; Houston, TX; New Orleans, LA) . Our teams strengths are diversity of relevance of clients from federal, municipal, utilities, private, developers, and technology developers working on leading edge projects. The responsibilities below include but not limited to: Uses CADD and 3rd Party Extensions (Blue Sky Skyline and Plex Earth) with engineering input and standards to design pipelines and plan and profile drawings Communicate project specific pipeline design issues with engineering team Take direction from engineering team and project managers on required design changes Imports Survey data and surfaces to build design basefiles Tracks project design changes Performs complex CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of the manager. Decisions made with general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Understands the implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Leads less experienced drafters, showing them how to complete more complex tasks and showing them how the design changes impact individual drawings that need updating Assists in drawing production as needed to meet project deadlines. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree +6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Experience shall be in CADD Pipeline Design, mapping and plan & profile drawings and GIS map development.
