About the role

Are you an expert in corporate spend optimization and a strong leader of people? As the Director of Global Procurement , you will report directly to the Senior Director of Global Procurement. In this role, your focus is divided between two critical areas: building comprehensive category spend strategies to drive financial savings, and providing direct team management to guide our procurement professionals. Working alongside the Senior Director-who focuses on executive alignment and high-level team building-you will ensure the department effectively minimizes costs, optimizes vendor agreements, and executes complex sourcing projects flawlessly. Core Responsibilities 1. Category Strategy & Cost Savings Design and implement global category management strategies across core spend pillars (including IT, Telecom, Facilities, and Corporate Services) to drive measurable bottom-line savings. Analyze macro spend data, market benchmarks, and internal demand patterns to identify efficiency improvements and eliminate direct and indirect corporate waste. Evaluate and identify purchasing cooperatives or alternative supplier models that deliver better financial value than existing agreements. Oversee high-complexity Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and Request for Proposal (RFP) frameworks to ensure optimal commercial outcomes. 2. Team Management & Upskilling Manage, mentor, and support a global team of Procurement Partners and Managers, driving accountability for daily sourcing deliverables and targets. Coach the team on advanced negotiation tactics, commercial contract reviews, and cost analysis to elevate the department's overall execution capability. Ensure the team is executing accurate and timely issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and contracts in accordance with company compliance policies. 3. Contract Negotiation & Cross-Functional Alignment Lead and support high-stakes contract commercial term negotiations regarding pricing, payment terms, and risk mitigation. Collaborate closely with the Facilities, IT, and Finance teams to review agreements near expiration, prepare for new bids, and streamline the procurement lifecycle. Maintain absolute alignment with ethical procurement standards and enforce corporate compliance across all managed categories. Qualifications & Skills Must-Have Qualifications: Experience: 12+ years of progressive Corporate procurement and strategic sourcing experience. Category Expertise: Demonstrated track record of developing global category strategies that resulted in significant, verifiable financial savings. Negotiation & Analytics: Advanced negotiation skills and financial acumen, with expert-level command of spreadsheet architecture (Advanced Excel) to evaluate complex bid results and cost analyses. Sourcing Process: Deep knowledge of the overall procurement lifecycle and end-to-end management of multi-vendor RFx operations. Preferred / Ideal Qualifications: Industry Focus: Procurement leadership experience within the BPO, technology, or global professional services sectors. Enterprise ERP: Direct experience leveraging data and workflows within Oracle ERP or similar enterprise sourcing platforms.
