Responsibilities

  • Communicates with shift leadership and local leadership with process or staffing issues, participate in problem-solving and proposing viable solutions to issues and ensures all processes are supportive of superior quality care.
  • Provide care to individuals receiving services in a manner that ensures safety, client rights, confidentiality, dignity, and therapeutic environment.
  • Conduct functions that contribute to the effectiveness and safety of the unit including crisis intervention, taking vital signs, and observation of individuals receiving services. This also includes ensuring the environment is conducive to recovery.
  • Maintain physical plant of the crisis center. Completes work orders as needed and ensure crisis center maintains compliance with DHSR licensure regulations.
  • Complete administrative functions timely and accurately, such as, but not limited to, timesheets for payroll, EIFs, fire drills, ordering needed supplies, etc.
  • Work with clients and families along with other team members to ensure crisis stabilization unit provides individuals receiving services with a safe and supportive environment consistent with recovery concepts and person-centered and treatment planning.
  • Coordinate and/or implement skill level activities involving the care, treatment, and training of individuals receiving crisis services.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Complete documentation in EHR as required. Maintain current licensure and certification in all agencies, state, and federal training requirements.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations.
  • Participate in on call and afterhours coverage, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Driving and travel may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Schedule : Monday-Friday (7:00am-4:00pm), with on-call rotation responsibilities and holiday coverage. Weekend and floor coverage as needed. This role will function as a leader among the Lead Behavioral Technicians and Behavioral Technicians, ensuring frontline processes are efficient and effective, ensuring excellent communication flows freely between leadership and the direct floor staff, and ensuring quality care is provided to the youth served.
