Unleash your energy within! Be a part of the EDC Team! The Operations Research position is in-charge of planning of all materials and services. Covering all categories, OR is expected to manage all procurement activities in accordance with the requirements of each facility. The OR plays a major role in the management of suppliers along with the maintenance of the delivery pipeline. The OR also works hand-in-hand with the various Sector Planning groups. The OR will liaise with the Head Office SCM team on vendor management, procurement activities and inventory management. The OR will coordinate the timely payment as well as monitor performance of suppliers/contractors. The OR implements strategic contracting initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders to assess opportunities; ensure alignment with Management strategy, goals, and objectives; and effectively manage implementation. The OR manages project pre-construction/ pre-execution stage, collaborates with proponents and strategic suppliers in ensuring timely project execution. The OR conducts study on cost saving initiatives, challenges existing supply chain procedures with the end view of increasing efficiency and reducing cost. The OR works with proponents on research studies for new materials and supplies and simplification and standardization of processes and material requirements. The OR is expected to address all supply chain related concerns without compromising integrity and ensuring honesty and respect to all concern.
