The patient population is transferred from ICU, ED and PACU. As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc. Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required: Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky. Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. Those with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years. Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don't have it already. ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.
