THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is in the Excepted Service under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA) This position is part of the IN USPFO, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number PD#T5132000. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience through work within similar financial program structures that support the Series' GS-0503 occupational functions, basic principles, and procedural concepts. For initial hires and promotion considerations, the candidates or employees must meet the specific graded-position's competencies (skill, knowledge, abilities, and behaviors). Experience in financial management by collecting data effectively, efficiently, and accurately, clerical duties, communicating with individuals at different levels in order to assist and provide information, using computers and automated systems, writing reports and presentation formats, and applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material to solve variety of problems or tasks. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level of finance program training or competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures. A qualified applicant must understand the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial business program requirements. The applicant must have private or public finance program experiences, along with competencies, that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures. An applicant must have experiences and training that demonstrate the abilities to follow directions, to read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies and procedures. The applicant must have the specialized experiences in providing analysis, validation, processing and correction of financial transactions.
