Job Title: Senior Social Worker - Assessment Team Location: Newcastle Pay Rate: £31.74 Job Description: Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Children's Social Worker to join an Assessment Team based in Newcastle. In this role, you will lead assessments, manage complex cases, and support colleagues in fulfilling statutory duties. You'll benefit from flexible working arrangements, regular supervision, and the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals in a supportive and inclusive environment committed to delivering high-quality services to children and young people. What will your responsibilities be? Deliver statutory social work services to children, young people, and their families in line with current legislation and Gateshead Council procedures. Undertake and lead Children & Families assessments, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Provide guidance and support to team members on complex cases. Chair meetings and contribute to multi-agency planning. Prepare reports, care plans, and court evidence as required. Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies to develop effective support plans. Maintain accurate and timely case records and reports in line with professional standards. Participate in regular supervision and reflective practice with your line manager.
