Responsibilities
- Position Overview:
- Reporting to the Zone Regional Vice President, the director is responsible for three critical growth strategies in these two end user segments:
- In this function you will:
- Leverage Eaton's national ASHE and IDEA partnerships into local affiliations; the director will become active in the regional chapters of ASHE providing educational content for meetings and potentially board involvement
- Support the district managers and NAS with regular communication about local involvement as well as consistent participation in district meetings
- Leverage Eaton resources such as solutions architects, energy transition applications engineers and C&I reps to bring about complete Eaton brand awareness into these end user segments
- Prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines and use sound business judgment to enhance margins
- Support total quality efforts by providing timely and accurate information for order entry, elevating quality issues to attention of management
- Ensure that accurate information flows to and from customers
- Implement new product programs as needed
- Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits
- Provide necessary reports requested by management in a timely manner
Requirements
- Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum (7) years of electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience
- Possess a valid driver's license
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Glendale Heights, IL; Menomonee Falls, WI; Parma, OH; West Chester, OH; Fenton, MO; Indianapolis, IN or Chanhassen, MN will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of electrical industry sales experience
- Position Criteria:
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- Knowledge of power distribution and control products, market knowledge and established customer relationships within the market area
- Good time management, presentation/training skills, planning skills, value added selling, teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic, competitiveness, willingness to learn, as well as the ability to building relationships
- Ability to travel up to 50%

- The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $167,250 - $245,300.
- Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
