Responsibilities
- Accountable for payroll processing in Australia ensuring on time processing of the scheduled payroll runs, handling payroll reconciliation processes, monitoring posting to finance, executing year-end and year-begin activities, transferring payroll funds, and performing regulatory reporting.
- Responsible for the execution of Financial and Internal controls that assure Shell Payroll's ongoing compliance in an increasingly complex statutory and regulatory landscape.
- Responsible to monitor Australia statutory and legislative changes and work with stakeholders across Policy, Tax, Legal, IT, Finance and HR Team for timely implementation in Shell's payroll landscape.
- Participate in Payroll Accounting Finance Backlog sessions and follow-up action items to ensure outstanding open items are managed in the financial books.
- Participate in Global, Regional and Local project implementations/system upgrades, providing payroll expertise and communicating with key stakeholders on a variety of compensation related issues including leading continuous improvement solutions.
- Responsible for analysis and timely response of complex payroll employee queries via Salesforce case utilizing Australia payroll, policy and legislation knowledge.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to Group Records Management retention protocol, preparation of Audit reference documents and response to various internal and external audit requests.
- What you bring
- Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll functional experience working with Australia, SAP Payroll, Workday HR and MS Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple competing deliverables and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Analytical problem solver, independent worker and strong team player who is detail oriented with an ability to working under tight deadlines.
- Exhibit a demonstrated ability to ensure a high degree of confidentiality, discretion and protection of employee data based on Data Privacy legislations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with a number of key stakeholders across all levels of management.
- Energy, enthusiasm, solution minded and can-do attitude.
- Sound judgmental skills to identify and resolve challenges and issues.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
