Organization: GI Medicine Job Summary: The nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) will work within the outpatient clinic setting alongside our General Hepatology Clinic faculty and staff at VUMC. This NP/PA will be expected to see patients independently as well as working alongside other MD's in providing care for our hepatology patients. The majority of patients seen will be return patients previously seen by one of the physician faculty. . DEPARTMENT SUMMARY Welcome to the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. We strive to provide outstanding medical care to people with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver, to train gastroenterology clinicians and researchers, and to perform cutting-edge biomedical research to improve our understanding of digestive diseases.
