REQ14390 Operation Senior Technician (Open) POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Assistant Head of Carpentry and Props, the Operation Senior Technician is responsible for working as part of the Props & Carpentry team to install, maintain, and position scenic elements and acrobatic equipment in a safe and consistent manner for the show. The Operation Senior Technician supports daily trainings and show presentation are to the highest standard. Work in partnership with all the departments within House of Dancing Water and all company events/ shows. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee, organize, plan and delegate with Assistant Head to produce training sessions, tasks list and projects within the department scope of work in regards to maintenance and show. Work with third parties when needed regarding general safety, repairs and maintenance. Communicate and coordinate with system manufacturers for system updates and repairs. Support the performers at all times by assisting and guiding their interaction with props and scenic elements. Support the Manager and Assistant Head of Props & Carpentry team by helping to maintain an atmosphere that maximizes productivity and creates a positive atmosphere for all personnel. Motivate the team dedication to their tasks and company by identifying their skill sets and motivating factors. In accordance with standard safety procedures, lays-out, assembles and finishes of scenic elements. Inventory control of supplies under the departments scope. Broad knowledge of wood working tools/machines and their use. Reads and consults plans and blueprints. Work with the team to develop and maintain a safe working environment by leading the carpenters in conforming to all established safety policies and procedures; participate in all required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training; Maintain associated carpentry department documentation; Develop a thorough knowledge of all backstage equipment specific to the production in order to operate equipment safely; Participate in and oversee special projects, including the construction and installation of new scenic show elements; Adhere to all company policies and procedures Report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to superiors and relevant departments Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by Manager and Assistant Head from time to time
