The SAP Functional Consultant is a key liaison between the Business Analyst and application development. The role is responsible for determining SAP design and configuration solutions that translate business needs into development requirements. This individual will be responsible for requirements planning and management, analyze and validate requirements for new or existing process, policies, and information systems. Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals on time and within budget. Work with internal BA's, product owners and project members to identify business issues, problems and/or enhancements and provide highly innovative and creative solutions that achieve quality and process improvements. Work closely with the development team translating business requirements into development requirements Support unit testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results Adhere to existing processes/standards including the system development life cycle and project management methodology, architecture and escalate issues if necessary. Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to the Project manager or Application manager. Work with internal BA's and business users to identify and resolve system issues impacting business operations providing L2 support as required. Work with development teams on identifying root cause of application bugs and resolving in a timely manner. Support unit and QA testing in identifying test cases and test data for system bugs and enhancements Adhere to existing change management processes and standards to support system development lifecycle. Contribute innovative, best practice and creative solutions to enhance and optimize current application systems, Provide on call system for critical system issues outside of regular business hours.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in financial industry is required, preferably mortgages experience.
- 2+ year experience in SAP CML, Treasury or FICO
- 5+ years' experience with SAP projects
- Experience working in Agile environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills allowing easy integration with other functional consultants and team members.
