Data Scientist (Contract)

About the role

JOB DESCRIPTION Own data science problems end-to-end: from framing the business question, through modelling, to deployment and measuring real-world impact. Develop and deploy machine learning models for prediction, classification, forecasting, and anomaly detection. Apply LLMs and generative AI where they're the right tool - prompt pipelines, RAG, and API integrations with foundation models. Perform exploratory analysis and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders - your findings should drive decisions Partner with our data analyst and IIoT connectivity team to define the data requirements your models need Work with PM and IT peers to translate business problems into AI solutions JOB REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). At least 2 years of experience in Data Science or ML engineering, with models or data products that reached production. Strong Python and SQL, plus solid fundamentals in statistics and the standard ML toolkit (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost or similar). Hands-on exposure to LLMs: prompt engineering, RAG, or integrating model APIs (e.g. Azure OpenAI, or open-source models). Experience in the manufacturing industry - familiarity with industrial data (sensors, MES/ERP systems) or supply chain management is a strong advantage.
