What you'll get to do... Technical Execution & Delivery Deliver high-quality production features and platform capabilities aligned with sprint commitments Design and build highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems using AWS cloud services Architect and develop greenfield initiatives from the ground up, including ambiguous and exploratory projects Debug and resolve complex production issues across multiple services and systems Evaluate modern technologies and cloud services to improve platform scalability, reliability, and efficiency Architecture & System Design Lead technical design discussions for complex cross-service architectures and platform capabilities Drive architectural decisions balancing scalability, reliability, operational simplicity, and long-term maintainability Build systems with strong observability practices including monitoring, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the development lifecycle Technical Leadership & Mentorship Serve as a trusted technical leader and subject matter expert for complex engineering challenges Lead agile development practices including sprint planning, retrospectives, code reviews, and collaborative design sessions Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on system design, code quality, and engineering best practices Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and engineering excellence across the team AI Integration & Innovation Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering workflows across development, testing, and documentation processes Explore and implement AI/ML capabilities within engineering and product workflows Promote experimentation with modern technologies and emerging engineering practices Your experience should include... 8+ years of software engineering experience building and operating large-scale, production-grade backend systems using Go, Python, or Node.js. Strong expertise in AWS cloud technologies (EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, SQS/SNS, RDS/Aurora, IAM), distributed systems, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CDK/CloudFormation), and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog). Hands-on experience with scalable system design and database technologies including PostgreSQL/Aurora and MongoDB, with a focus on performance optimization, reliability, and high availability. Experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-powered capabilities into production systems, with a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous engineering process improvements. Demonstrated technical leadership with the ability to drive end-to-end project delivery, mentor engineers, and thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. You might also have...
