JOB PURPOSE To provide expertise in supporting automatic electrical winding systems for multiple product lines. The role of the Manufacturing Engineer is to support Winding application globally for the following Product lines (Ignition Coils, Starter, Alternators, Fuel pump coils).

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain Bill of Process (BOP), best practices, and lessons learned for Phinia coil winding applications.
  • Provide global manufacturing engineering support for winding processes across multiple PHINIA product lines.
  • Lead and support manufacturing engineering activities through product development and new model launch gates.
  • Specify, implement, and validate coil winding systems in collaboration with equipment suppliers.
  • Develop and support PM procedures, PFMEAs, control plans, and standardized winding system training programs.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout new model development programs within areas of expertise.
  • Lead resolution of winding-related quality, process, and production issues across global manufacturing sites.
  • Support prototype builds, pre-production, launch, and safe launch phases as required.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and Statements of Work, while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure safety and environmental compliance are top priorities while effectively communicating, planning work, and executing assigned tasks.
