Additional Information

The Marine Superintendent's primary role is to ensure safe operations of the vessels managed by the company and compliance with all international marine requirements. Assists in the implementation and upkeep of the Safety Management System and will be required to conduct regular ship inspections to ensure compliance to the statutory requirements of the International Safety Management (ISM) code and International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) code. Be alerted to analyze risks and ensure compliance with the organization's risk management framework. Responsible for conducting Rightship inspection onboard the ship and follow-up. Guides the Master on board for nautical matters and conducts incident investigations onboard the vessel. Promotes and develops a culture of continuous improvement in pursuit of organizational objectives. Maintain Safety Management System (SMS) updates to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficient procedures. Manage compliance with risk management frameworks, policies, and processes. Oversee ships' compliance with regulatory requirements and legislation. Propose improvements to workflows to improve efficiency.
