Analyze and record test results, and prepare written testing documentation. Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools. Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly. Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances. Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges. Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. Develop, test, and program new robots and PLCs. Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs, fittings, and fixtures. Train others to install, use, and maintain robots. Perform all duties to the prescribed standard. Knowledge You Should Bring Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions. Obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS General Safety Quality System Hazardous Waste Management may be required TOS system Lock-out/Tag-out Confined Space Elevated Work PHYSICAL DEMANDS Light to medium effort equal to frequent lifting or moving lightweight materials Regularly required to sit or stand, bend at the waist and reach knee to head height and overhead reaching Regularly required to kneel or crouch Use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things Quickly move hands, hand and arm coordination, or two hands to grasp, or manipulate objects Keep hand and arm steady while moving one arm or while holding one arm and hand in one position. Frequent exertion of muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time. This involves muscular endurance and resistance to muscle fatigue. May be required to work at elevated heights including on platforms and ladders above 4 feet.
