Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Research Program Coordinator Job Summary: The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation offers an opportunity for a Research Program Manager to conduct research study visits involving musculoskeletal injuries. The Research Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating research study visits and completing research procedures including obtaining informed consent, collection of medical and health histories, conducting specialized assessments, and providing exercise-based interventions. The position will also assist with coordination of imaging visits, which include MRI and US scans. Additional visit-related procedures may include paperwork completion, and data management and verification. The position will be expected to perform other related duties as assigned and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. T his position is full or part-time, 40 %- 100 % This position has the flexibility to start at a part-time FTE, though it is expected this position will increase in FTE contingent on research funding and program needs This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years. Must provide a valid driver's license. Employees in this role can expect: Recruits, screens, selects, determines eligibility and enrolls trial participants, collects information, and answers questions. Independently perform research testing, biomechanical analyses, and deliver necessary interventions specific to the involved clinical research studies. Schedules logistics, determines workflows, and secures resources for a defined clinical research trial(s) Serves as an initial point of contact for clinical research participants and clinical staff, providing information regarding research procedures, expectations, and informational inquiries. Ensures participants follow the research protocol and alerts Principal Investigator of issues.
