Responsibilities

  • Working with our Security Operations Centre (SOC) to actively monitor network traffic and security logs for threats or suspicious activity.
  • Serving as a first responder to security breaches - investigating, containing, and mitigating threats to restore systems quickly and effectively.
  • Conducting regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in hardware and software, using tools such as Tenable.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of information security frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS and NIST.
  • A solid understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows/Unix) and security software.
  • Hands-on experience with security applications such as Tenable, SPLUNK and OKTA.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret alerts, analyse complex data sets and identify patterns in cyber threats.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, able to resolve security issues and develop proactive measures against future attacks.
  • Effective communication skills, with the confidence to explain complex security threats to non-technical colleagues and deliver security awareness training.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) would be a distinct advantage.
