Responsibilities

  • Knowledgeable and able to perform skills required but not limited to pipefitting, welding, electrician, instrumentation, carpentry, masonry, machinist.
  • Preventative Maintenance and Repairs on plant utilities including boilers, cooling towers, chillers, air compressors, water softeners and high pressure water pumps.
  • Complete preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PDM) assignments on chemical manufacturing equipment.
  • Performing on-stream vibration analysis of rotating equipment, and checking and correcting the alignment of equipment as necessary.
  • Mentor / train new employee's in proper repair procedures and technology
  • Reviewer / Approver of Instrumentation Compliance PPM's and Repairs done in the Instrument Shop
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and provide effective repairs to all the components of Instrument and Electrical Control and Distribution Systems.
  • Develop procedures that efficiently, effectively and safely diagnose and repair Mechanical, Instrument and Electrical equipment / systems.
  • Document repair history, initiate Reliability improvements and resolve adverse equipment conditions.
  • Provide expertise in Root Cause Investigations.
  • Aggressively learn and acquire new skills within the broad spectrum of mechanical and I&E activities.
  • Basic shop skills such as shop housekeeping, tool maintenance and repair.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current, valid US driver's license.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role or as an operator in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Qualified Instrument Technician that can perform SIS/BPCS Instrument Checks and Calibrations.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.
  • Welding skills.
  • Proficient in Reading Instrument Loop Diagrams and Piping & Instrument Diagrams.
  • The physical abilities, with or without reasonable accommodations, include:
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lb.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Standing/Walking for extended periods of time.
  • Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator.
  • Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
  • Work in an area with hazardous materials.
  • Handle 55 gal. drums.
  • Work in extreme weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Your Skills:
  • Electrical Principles: Working knowledge of electrical maintenance.
  • Basic millwright skills including machine and rotating equipment repair.
  • Instrumentation: Electronic Instrumentation skills (digital and analog) and PLC and Instrument Tech capabilities.
  • Piping: Basic Torque requirement Understandings.
  • Heavy Equipment: Must be able to operate an aerial and scissor lift (on-site training).
  • Computer Literacy: Have the ability to learn new computer systems quickly.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Good interpersonal skills are required.
  • Have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.

You will primarily perform days, Monday through Friday. Overtime (Hold-over, Pre-Scheduled and Call-in) is required as needed to perform the necessary repairs to keep the Plant Partners operating. Your participation in the After Hour Call-in rotation is an expectation of this role.
