Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, PCTs provide compassionate patient care, assist with daily living activities, obtain vital signs, maintain a safe environment, and support the healthcare team. Ideal candidates are caring, dependable, team-oriented, and dedicated to excellent patient care. Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, and mobility). Obtain and document vital signs, intake/output, and other patient care activities. Collect and transport laboratory specimens. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment. Assist with patient transport and preparation for procedures. Respond promptly to call lights, alarms, and patient needs. Communicate patient concerns and observations to the nursing team. Support patient safety, quality care, and a healing environment. Demonstrate compassion, respect, and excellent customer service. Participate in unit activities, orientation of new staff, and team-based initiatives. Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program.
- Life Support Training or Certification (ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.)
