Reporting to the Operations Manager in Council Bluffs, Iowa, you will lead and inspire the 2nd shift production teams in a dynamic food manufacturing environment, ensuring safe operations, high‑quality products, and efficient use of resources. You will bring strong leadership presence to the plant floor, partner cross‑functionally, and develop teams while driving performance, safety, and continuous improvement across operations. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Lead food safety and quality performance across assigned production operations. Guide and support production line supervisors to ensure products meet company specifications and production, usage, and labor targets. Deploy labor resources effectively to meet or exceed company standards. Champion cleanliness, organization, and Good Manufacturing Practices throughout plant production areas. Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and corporate policies. Promote strong training practices to ensure the workforce is prepared, capable, and safety‑focused. Ensure timely flow of critical operational information across all levels and shifts of plant leadership. Monitor ingredient usage to plant standards while maintaining quality objectives. Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to align production requirements and achieve plant objectives. Lead continuous improvement efforts that strengthen safety, cost effectiveness, and product quality. Foster a safe, inclusive work environment where employees are engaged and supported. Reinforce safety awareness through front‑line supervisor coaching and training. Support and model participation in plant safety programs. Report ingredient usage and labor data to support accurate costing and recall readiness. Share key performance metrics with front‑line supervisors to encourage ownership and improvement. Partner closely with Human Resources on interviews, hiring, performance evaluations, corrective counseling, and employee development. Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biology, Industrial Management, or a related field Four or more years of related experience Equivalent combination of education and experience within food manufacturing in lieu of educational requirements Experience leading teams in a production or manufacturing environment. Experience preparing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Understanding of manufacturing processes and production loss Experience working with cross-functional teams, managers, customers, and other stakeholders. When visiting these sites, the physical requirements below may apply: You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination. You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment.
