Location & Flexibility India Hybrid: Bangalore This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from our office in Bengaluru (2 to 3 times/ week). Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members, local and visiting, from other global offices. We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Adaptive Resource with a unique blend of technical mastery in Workday Adaptive Planning and an understanding of Financial Planning &Analysis (FP&A). In this role, you will be the backbone of our financial modeling architecture, responsible for designing, building, and optimizing complex Adaptive models while directly supporting the FP&A team in driving strategic business insights. The ideal candidate has 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience and can seamlessly bridge the gap between complex data systems and corporate financial strategy. Key Responsibilities: Adaptive Planning Architecture & Modeling ● Model Design & Development: Architect, build, and maintain complex, scalable Workday Adaptive Planning models (including Expense, Personnel, Revenue, and Capital models). ● Sheet & Element Creation: Design and configure standard sheets by co-ordinating with IT. ● System Optimization: Continuously evaluate existing models for performance, data integrity, and scalability, implementing best practices to streamline the forecasting process. ● Integration Management: Collaborate with IT/Data teams to manage data integrations(via Adaptive Integration, Loader, or APIs) from ERP, CRM, and HRIS systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday).FP&A Support & Business Partnership. ● Financial Scenarios & What-If Analysis: Partner with the FP&A team to build driver based forecasts, long-range plans, and dynamic "what-if" scenarios. ● Reporting & Dashboards: Design and maintain executive-ready reports, HTML templates, and interactive dashboards within Adaptive Insights and Office Connect. ● Process Improvement: Translate FP&A business requirements into functional technical specifications, automating manual Excel spreadsheets into efficient Adaptive processes. ● Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide analytical support for variance analysis (Actuals vs.Budget/Forecast) and help uncover key business drivers. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: ● 5 to 10 years of professional experience, with a dedicated focus on Workday Adaptive Planning (Adaptive Insights) implementation and modeling. ● Strong foundational background in Corporate Finance, FP&A, or Financial Accounting. Technical Skills: ● Adaptive Modeling: Proven hands-on experience explaining things to IT to build cube models, complex matrix formulas and managing versions/instances. ● Reporting Tools: Proficiency in Office Connect (Excel, PowerPoint) and Adaptive Discovery Dashboards. ● Data & Excel: Advanced Excel skills (nested formulas, data modeling) and a strong understanding of relational databases or data warehousing concepts. Functional & Soft Skills: ● Financial Literacy: Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet,Cash Flow), budgeting cycles, and forecasting methodologies. ● Communication: Ability to translate complex technical/modeling constraints into plain financial language for business stakeholders. ● Problem Solving: A self-starter attitude with a knack for debugging complex formulas and data discrepancies.

Requirements

  • MBA in Finance or Equivalent
  • Workday Adaptive Planning Certification(s) is a strong plus.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Background in a fast-paced corporate environment or technology consulting firm.
