Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits against food safety standards within the assigned territory.
  • Provide coaching and training related to food safety and sanitation violations.

  • Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and an associate degree, with at least 2+ years of experience supporting retail food safety and sanitation programs
  • Certified Professional - Food Safety (CP-FS) credential from NEHA, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of the start date (not required for candidates with REHS/RS credential)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Ability to travel regionally, including approximately 30% overnight travel
  • Strong time management skills, self-motivation, effective communication skills, and a professional demeanor
  • Additional Considerations
  • Registered Sanitarian or equivalent (e.g., REHS/RS credential)
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food and Nutrition, Restaurant Management/Hospitality, Environmental Health, Education, or a related field

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $63,830.00 and $93,610.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.

What We're Seeking We are currently seeking a Food Safety Auditor as part of our Institutional Business Group. This is a full-time position responsible for auditing retail grocery and food service establishments. The Food Safety Auditor conducts audits to measure conformity with established regulatory, industry, and customer brand standards related to food safety, workplace safety, and facility standards. The role also includes coaching and training on nonconformities identified during audits.
