Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist (Assistant General Manager)

About the role

Serves as Assistant General Manager (AGM) in the ATO; Air Traffic Services; Western Service Area, Seattle District Office, responsible for planning and directing multiple activities and programs in a complex matrix organization in a specific Air Traffic District assigned to the highest facility-level within the Seattle District. The AGM shares full managerial responsibility and authority, reporting to the General Manager (GM) and acts in the absence of the GM, as required. Candidates must show specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Must have held an FAA 2152 FG-14/FV-J or above regional or headquarters positions for at least 1 year (52 weeks); or 2) Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) at an ATS facility (Note: an employee who has been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility that is upgraded is considered to meet the qualification requirements of the upgraded position, since he or she has been performing the higher-graded work; or 3) Must have held an MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility. In addition to the qualifications listed above for MSS positions, you must have held an MSS-3 or MSS-4 or an FG-2152-14/FV-J or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) [IAW Qualification Requirements for AT-2152 Terminal and En Route Positions (Revision 1) dated 11/08/99].
