Job Responsibilities Proactively engage passers-by and visitors around Chinatown Heritage Centre. Introduce the museum and confidently recommend its exhibitions and experiences. Conduct outdoor engagement activities, mini-games and hands-on experiences to attract visitors. Perform as, or assist with, mascot meet-and-greet sessions. Encourage and convert walk-in visitors into paying museum guests. Assist with simple visitor enquiries and direct visitors into the museum. Work at various outreach points around Chinatown, including the museum entrance, nearby MRT exits and surrounding pedestrian areas depending on operational needs. Maintain an energetic, friendly and professional presence while representing the Chinatown Heritage Centre brand. Job Requirements Energetic, outgoing and confident speaking to members of the public. Comfortable approaching strangers and starting conversations. Enjoys performing, engaging crowds and creating fun experiences. Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions (with appropriate operational arrangements during rainy weather). Comfortable wearing or assisting with mascot costumes where required. Sales-oriented and motivated by performance incentives. Able to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude. Prior experience in events, promotions, attractions, retail, tourism or customer engagement is an advantage but not required. Students and freelancers are strongly encouraged to apply. Working Hours Flexible part-time arrangement based on roster. Shift 1: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Shift 2: 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM Applicants may indicate their preferred shift(s). Priority will be given to applicants available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays . Additional weekday opportunities may be available as operations expand. Reasonable short breaks for water and restroom use may be taken while ensuring continuous visitor engagement. Remuneration Basic Pay: From S$10/hour Performance Incentive: Attractive commission based on ticket sales generated. Training and onboarding will be provided before deployment.
