In short, as a Leave Specialist on DriveTime's Total Rewards Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring all employee leaves of absence and accommodations are administered accurately, compliantly, and with care. You'll serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, leaders, vendors, and internal partners, guiding leave and accommodation activity from initiation through completion while delivering a thoughtful and compliant employee experience. In long, as the Leave Specialist, you will be responsible for: Serving as the primary liaison and record keeper for all internal and external communications related to leaves of absence and accommodations Keeping all impacted groups informed of status updates and relevant issues, including Legal, vendors, Management, and Payroll Monitoring third‑party vendor reports, auditing incoming invoices, and maintaining strong partnerships with vendor contacts Maintaining regular verbal and written communication with employees regarding their leave status and required documentation Building and enhancing processes and training programs to support ongoing education and consistency Facilitating accommodation conversations with employees and managers Accurately and promptly responding to employee inquiries regarding leaves of absence and accommodations Ensuring all required documentation is received, distributed, and routed to the appropriate parties Proactively reaching out to impacted employees and partnering with HR leadership to resolve concerns or complaints Staying up to date on department policies to ensure accurate, compliant communication Reviewing, monitoring, and organizing all reported leaves of absence using internal and external systems with proper classification Performing other duties as assigned So What Kind of Folks Are We Looking For? Minimum of 3 years of experience administering leaves of absence and accommodations Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field Experience and working knowledge of federal and state compliance laws related to leaves of absence, including FMLA and ADA Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation, Short‑Term Disability (STD), Long‑Term Disability (LTD), Military, Personal, and Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) Ability to support, interpret, and communicate policies and procedures clearly and consistently Nice to Haves.
