Software Engineer (Cyber Security)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain secure software applications while working closely with cross-functional teams. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cybersecurity-focused solutions within a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure software applications using technologies such as PowerShell, C++, Flutter, Dart, and Python.
• Apply UI/UX best practices to create intuitive, efficient, and user-friendly applications.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimisation to ensure software quality and security.
• Develop and enhance endpoint security features, including malware and ransomware detection, exploit prevention, and intrusion detection capabilities.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement secure coding practices and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, security analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver project objectives.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including software designs, development procedures, and security compliance records.
• Support other software development and engineering tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience in software development using one or more of the following technologies: PowerShell, C++, Flutter, Dart, or Python.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and cybersecurity concepts.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices will be an advantage.
