Job Posting Details : Talen Energy has job openings for Plant Technician-Maintenance . The position will be located at the Brandon Shores Power Plant in Baltimore, MD (Pasadena area). Brandon Shores is a coal fired generating station. The position will report to the Production Supervisor. We are looking for qualified candidates with mechanical maintenance abilities. This position requires industrial rotating equipment mechanical maintenance skills and experience. Machinists and welding skills and abilities are preferred, but not required. This position will require shift work. Plant Technician - Maintenance will be required to learn plant operational duties and complete operational training qualifications. Plant operational duties will be required as directed. The expected salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors as permitted by law. Successful candidates will also participate in Talen Energy's Short-Term Incentive program. Primary Purpose & Summary : The Plant Technician-Maintenance, installs, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, overhauls, diagnoses, tests and maintains all power plant equipment and systems. Provides environmental and safety compliance. Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations and plant procedures. Keeps all equipment in optimum operating condition. Develops maintenance procedures for plant equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation.
