About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated social worker to join our Older adult community mental health community team (APATT), St George's campus in Kew. You will work as a clinician provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment within the multidisciplinary team using a recovery-focused framework. You will be visiting clients at home, providing intake and triage, crisis support, assessment and case management, reviewing risk and providing support to reduce impact of illness and enhance independence to our clients and carers in a variety of community and residential settings Applicants will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and professional skills and are required to have a Bachelor of Social Work and to be eligible for membership of the AASW. Experience in psychiatry, and aged care is preferred. This position gives opportunities for training, research and professional development working with a skilled, dedicated and experienced team of staff. Provides support and supervision to junior Social Worker and social work students The position is Monday to Friday, office hours and is based at St George's, Cotham Road Kew. Classifications for this position will range from Social Worker Grade 3 YC46 - YC49 ( $ 92,944 - $ 106,834 per annum pro rata) Your Contribution Post qualification clinical experience with older adults including consumers with a serious mental illness, complex needs and support to their carers'. Case management experience. Strong understanding of evidenced based practice. Clear motivation to support clinical practice and professional practice development. Engaging with St Vincent's social work service structures to enhance best practice care. Current Victorian Driver's License and able to drive St Vincent's vehicles. A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
