Mechanic

Responsibilities

• As a Maintenance Mechanic , you'll maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing equipment used in metal packaging production.
• Responsibilities include:
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify mechanical equipment and production machinery
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose mechanical failures and minimize equipment downtime
• Inspect, repair, and replace bearings, chains, gears, belts, conveyors, pumps, and other mechanical components
• Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges with tolerances up to .0010
• Perform equipment inspections and document maintenance activities
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability

Requirements

• We're looking for candidates with:
• High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical education
• 2+ years of Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, or Industrial Maintenance experience desired
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
• Ability to read measuring instruments and work with close tolerances
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Manufacturing, food production, packaging, automotive, steel, paper, plastics, chemical processing, or similar industrial maintenance experience is highly preferred.
